Scouting Supplies NOW OPEN

19 April 2021

Great news, Scouting Supplies has now returned to its customary trading pattern. The store will be open on Thursdays 18:00 to 20:00 & Saturday 10:00 to 12:00.

We would also like to take this opportunity to announce Brigitte Cleall as taking over the management of Basingstoke Scouting Supplies. We are sure many of you will know Brigitte from 1st Popley Scout Group and we wish her the best of luck in this role.

Social distancing measures will be in place and everyone should make use of the antiseptic gel upon entering the store. Face masks should be worn inline with government guidelines unless you are exempt. For the time being it will not be possible for customers to try on garments, however sample garments will be available to help gauge the correct size.

Payment by card, cash or cheque accepted. Advance orders are possible to reduce the amount of time spent within the shop, please get in touch by emailing enquiries@basingstokescoutshop.org.uk. Price list is available on the Scouting Supplies Website.

It would be particularly helpful if Groups would purchase neckerchiefs in bulk to avoid single purchase by each parent.

There are a number of parents who ordered leather belts/buckles last February twelve-month which did not arrive until after coronavirus restrictions forced the store to close in March. These have been set aside and parents will shortly be contacted to confirm whether the item is still required.

Scouting Supplies’ annual public meeting, at which the full externally examined accounts for 2020 will be presented, is scheduled for Wednesday 5th May 2021, location to be confirmed.

Owing to the sudden passing of Beryl customers are requested to exercise patience whilst Brigitte settles into the role. If any orders have were placed with Beryl and have not been received then please contact Brigitte on the above email address. A memorial service for Beryl will be arranged later in the year as restrictions allow.
