St Georges Day 2021

10 April 2021

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our virtual St Georges Day for 2021. As previously announced the event will take place on Sunday 25th April at 10:00am via zoom. We expect the session to last around 35 minutes and joining instructions will be released in the next couple of weeks.

This event is open to all our young people and volunteers across the District and will be a modern approach to this traditional event. All participants should be wearing their Scouting uniform and group or district neckers.

In order to make the session more interactive we are asking attendees to attempt to make a shield ahead of the event and bring it along. This challenge is totally open it could be made from paper or metal, the choices are endless. You may want to do this as a section activity beforehand or challenge your individual members.

As part of this event, we’ll be celebrating awards from the past year and so it’s important that any Top Awards are requested as soon as possible so we can ensure they are included.

We are looking to make the session very engaging for all our young people, but that’s all we are going to give away right now.

If you are a GSL or a Section Leader, could you please confirm your group/section’s attendance at the event. This will allow us to understand how many participants we are going to expect.

Any questions please get in touch with Paul Hogan-Williams or Jack Tracy.
