Welcome to Graham Fisher as ADC Scouts

Graham Fisher has been appointed Assistant District Commissioner (ADC) Section Support for Scouts.
I am really pleased that Graham has agreed to take on this key role which helps to support our Scout Section across Basingstoke East.
Graham joins us from 6th Bebington Sea Scouts (Wirral West District) where he was involved in Scouting from Beavers all the way through to Explorers, including being a Young Leader for Beavers and Scouts. Graham recently moved into the district where he works as a civil servant as Civil Servant, and was looking for a volunteering role. Graham loved being part of Scouting as a child and always hoped that he could get involved later on in life after leaving the Merchant Navy. He’s excited to get started, and helping young people develop skills for life and have fun along the way.
Graham spent 5 years in the Merchant Navy, bobbing around in the Arctic Circle, before swapping for dry (and warmer!) land last year. On land, he loves Lego, Formula 1 and Star Wars. He’s got a very busy 2021 year ahead with this new role, getting married and become a first-time father but he can’t wait!
I can’t wait to see what Graham brings to the role, and look forward to volunteering alongside him to help support our Scout section.
