Our new design
Across the last few years we’ve had a great deal of feedback from adults and young people across the district about our blue neckers. Therefore as part of our bounce back from COVID-19 we have taken this opportunity to fresh up the District image and we are pleased to share with you the new necker for Basingstoke East District. We’ve taken onboard feedback and opted for a 3 colour design which we believe is far more unique and stands out when we are on more national events.
BLACK
With the primary colour of our district Explorer Scout Units being black we wanted to create a consistent district feel to this.
PINK
We have all seen the Love Basingstoke branding around town with their blue and pink primary colours. Pink is also one of the colours in the Scout branding so we’ve chosen the pink to tie in with the Basingstoke colours whilst contrasting our other colours.
PURPLE
Keeping with the Scout branded colours and nicely tying in with Scout Pink, the primary Scout Purple felt like the perfect colour to finish our necker.
We really hope that you agree this new design is going to be far more recognisable and really brings forward our new image.
Where can you get one?
All District appointed roles are entitled to a selection of items as required by your role. Most uniformed district roles will entitle you to a necker, hoody and a name badge whereas some of the trustee roles maybe more name badge. We have included below the list of district roles below and the items which each are entitled to at no cost to them:
