Fancy a weekend in the hills?

22 February 2022

Have you ever considered working towards your hill walking permit?

Members of B.E.A.S.T are off on a introductory training session on the 9th-10th April to get a taster of what’s required to gain this permit. It will be an exciting weekend in the Brecon Beacons covering the basics of what’s involved in leading young people on this type of activity.

The team currently have room for one more individual on this course. If getting involved in this type of activity is something you’re interested in doing then joining the B.E.A.S.T active support unit could be great for you. There is no cost involved in joining the unit, we just ask that during your time you get involved in running the odd adventurous activity for the District and we’ll also help you with training for your permits. The cost of this course will be covered by the unit too, and as it’s an intro weekend there is no commitment to continue the hill walking permit if you find it’s not for you!

If you’re interested in finding out more or would like to get involved please email beast@bescouts.org.uk
