Our Constitution

30 April 2022

Following an electronic vote of the district scout council, we are pleased to announce that the new constitution has been approved and we will now implement the relevant personnel to these positions on the District Board of Trustees.

The board structure has changed in-line with County, Region and HQ best practices with individuals being responsible for different strategic portfolios including: Legal, HR, Lobbying/Community Relations and Safeguarding/Inclusion.

At this time, the members of this group are:

Ex-Officio:
Matthew Scott – District Chair
Jamie Andrews – District Commissioner
Harrison Gorst – District Youth Commissioner

Nominated members by the District Commissioner:
Jack Tracy – Deputy District Commissioner (Programme)
Paul Hogan Williams – Deputy District Commissioner (Perception)
John Handford – Deputy District Commissioner (People)
Jack Dilly – Deputy District Youth Commissioner

Elected members:
Georgina Charlton – Deputy District Commissioner (Growth and Development)

Portfolio owners:
Legal – Harrison Gorst
HR – John Handford
Lobbying/Community Relations – Jack Tracy/Paul Hogan-Williams
Safeguarding – Jamie Andrews
Inclusion – Georgina Charlton

Currently vacant:
District Treasurer
District Secretary

We are actively looking to recruit for our vacant positions of District Treasurer and Secretary respectively. Carol Mann, whom has previously held the role of District Treasurer will now be our Deputy Treasurer going forward.
