Welcome Carrie Miller

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Carrie Miller as Group Scout Leader, at Old Basing Scout Group. It is really great to have Carrie coming onboard and we look forward to working together.

Hi Everyone

I started as a Leader in Scouting about 3 years ago when my youngest son joined Beaver Scouts. Before having my children, I worked with the NHS and supported children in Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools and I always felt I learnt and gained more from both the team and young people I worked with than they did from me. They made me passionate about helping young people gain confidence and independence; to look at each day as a new adventure. I have two boys, both in scouting and a partner supporting in Cubs, and we all enjoy going on new adventures whenever we can!

I am looking forward to learning from and supporting the Scouting team and young people in hopefully many adventures ahead.
