Introducing our new ADC Scouts

We would like to announce a change to our Assistant District Commissioner – Section Support for Scouts. Graham Fisher joined the District in February 2021 as our ADC Scouts and we have really enjoyed working with him. Graham also holds a role as Section Leader for Bramley Scouts which he has decided to focus on and has now stepped down as ADC Scouts. We wish Graham all the best in his role and look forward to continuing to work with him in that capacity.

We are really excited to welcome Tim Gibbons into the role of ADC Scouts with immediate effect. Tim comes with a wealth of knowledge and a real passion for Scouting. Having previously been involved in many Scout events at a District and County level many of  you may already know Tim. Please see a short introduction from him below.

Welcome to the team Tim!

I’ve been involved in Scouting as an Adult Leader for 15 years, having been a cub myself in the distant past. During my time as a leader, I have held many roles within all of the age ranges and am currently Akela at 1^st Chineham and Skip at Tadley Darwin Scouts. I am married with 2 grown up children all of which hold scouting appointments locally. 

My day job is Senior Asset Operations Manager which involves leadership of a team responsible for ensuring Facilities are available for operational use when required. I have now been with the same company for 33 years. 

I am excited to be able take on this new role to try and help shape the way that Scout’s is delivered in the District as I have seen on numerous occasions the benefits of scouting for young people moving through the scouting sections.
