1st Basingstoke Cubs – Taskmaster Evening (with Parents)

1st Basingstoke Scout Group are currently on the hunt for a new Group Scout Leader to help lead the group, and working with the County Growth & Development team, it was suggested to run an evening where the parents could get involved, and help to make those recruitment conversations easier.
Pam Byrne who holds an Assistant Section Leader role at 1st Basingstoke (alongside her ADC Cubs role) ran a Taskmaster themed evening which got the Cubs and parents competing against each other, and even included a snow-ball fight to help break the ice at the start of the session.
It was fantastic to see parents engaged in the activities, and has resulted in three parents coming forwards to volunteer within the Group which is fantastic!
A big congratulations for the work which the team put in!
