Welcome Magda Esterhuyse

We are pleased to announce the return of Magda Esterhuyse to the Assistant District Commissioner – Section Support for Beavers role. We are super excited to welcome Magda back into this role of helping to support our Beaver section in Basingstoke East.

Please see a short introduction from Magda below…

“I’m back!” or is it possibly “Oops, I did it again!”?  Anyhow, for those of you who don’t know me, I am Magda Esterhuyse, and I am looking forward to once again serving as ADC Beavers in Basingstoke East.

I have been scouting since 2008, first as ACSL and BSL for the 2nd Selsdon and Addington in Croydon and since I have been in Basingstoke, I have been ABSL for 1st Chineham, ADC Beavers for a few years and BSL for 6th Basingstoke since 2018.

I am really excited to once again have an excuse to pop in to all the colony meetings, meet the new beavers and leaders and catch up with those who’ve been around a while.  The real aim of those visits is of course to help where I can, so please use them as such, or email me if there is anything I can help with.

In terms of District events for the Beavers, there are a few things brewing in the back of my mind, so watch this space for the return of the New Year’s party and a Spring teddy bear’s picnic.
