New Badge Site is now live!

Following our previous update on Badge Orders, we are now really excited to be able to share that our new badge order system is now live! 

It will hopefully look and feel very familiar as we’ve used the same platform as Basingstoke Scout Shop. It’s been tested by a small group of volunteers from various groups within the District and the feedback has been really positive so we hope that you find it much easier. 

There are a few process adjustments to be aware of with the new process. 

Invoicing & Payments 

  • You will receive an order confirmation, however this is for your records only. Invoices will be automatically sent to your group treasurer for payment. 
  • Payments will now been made directly to District and not a separate account as previously. This hopefully simplifies things for your treasurers. 
  • Please use your Scouting email address when ordering badges so the system can recognise your address and bill the correct group. 

Better Stock & Visibility 

  • The system will show you how much stock we have of a badge when ordering to give you an idea of any wait times. order badges that are not in stock, this is just to help you understand wait times. 
  • We are awaiting an initial large order to increase our stock levels and this will reflect on the site shortly. We expect to hold stock based on historical and seasonal orders, so for example we will have lots of Beaver Outdoor Challenge badges for the summer terms but may hold a lower amount during the winter. You can however continue to order your required amounts.

Accessing the site 

You can access the new site at badges.basingstokescouts.org.uk and start shopping. You’ll be asked to log in as you check out, where you can use your Scouting email address.
