Squirrels go to Wellington Country Park

A couple weekends ago we had our first ever District Squirrel event at Wellington Country Park, with 38 Squirrels from 1st Basingstoke, Air and Bramley heading for a fun filled day!

We were joined by the sunshine all day allowing us to explore the park to its fullest; bouncing on pillows, climbing and sliding through the adventure parks before feeding the goats and Alpacas in the farm.

There was plenty of water fun and sand play as well as fairy hunting and dinosaur tracking, tractor exploring and commandeering a pirate ship! Let’s not forget the Train Ride through a host of magical lands!

It really was a wonderful day and the first of many events for our Squirrels this year!

Huge thanks to our leaders for making the event possible and giving up yet more of their time for our young people.
