Welcome Keith Douglas

We are excited to welcome, Keith Douglas to the District Core Team. Keith will be joining us as our District Volunteer Development Lead and brings a wealth of experience & passion for this area.

I am delighted to be volunteering as District Volunteer Development Lead and very much look forward to meeting you you all and working together for Scouting in Basingstoke 😊

I was a very keen cub, scout and venture scout many decades ago with the 2nd Andover Sea Scouts and our children also enjoyed Scouting in Woodley in their youth.

I am very happy to now have the chance to give something back.

Although retired, I like to keep busy and already volunteer with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Hampshire Business Networking.

My business life was originally in high street banking but since 1989, I set up and ran a legal services company specialising in Wills called County Douglas Law. This is a a small family concern and is now run by our son, Peter.

We live locally in Chineham and also enjoy golf and travel quite a bit.

My wife, Jan has recently started as Treasurer for the 1st Basingstoke group.

We were introduced to Basingstoke Scouts by Amy Goodall who is a good friend of our lovely daughter in law, Emily; who many of you will know.

I gave a HIOWAA Presentation last November to the Chineham Cubs who were great fun and I was made very welcome by the whole team.
