Squirrel Volunteer of the Year

Winner: Amy Goodall & Jade Gibbons

Amy Goodall and Emma Gibbons, recipients of the Squirrel Volunteer of the Year award, have played a pivotal role in establishing Squirrel not only within their own groups but also in other groups. Their dedication extends beyond their immediate responsibilities, as they actively contribute to the dissemination of best practices.

Beaver Volunteer of the Year

Nominees: Magda Esterhuyse, Lisa Nicholas, Milda Smith

Winner: Magda Esterhuyse

Magda Esterhuyse, awarded Beaver Volunteer of the Year, has consistently demonstrated her commitment to supporting Beaver programs across the District. Upon returning to the ADC role, she collaborated with the team to introduce innovative events and provide invaluable support to Colonies within the District.

Cub Volunteer of the Year

Nominees: Chris Wood, Fiona Fraser, Graham Howard, Jan Wright, Kathryn Key, Pam Byrne, Richard Whitechurch & Tim Gibbons

Winner: Graham Howard

Graham Howard, honored as Cubs Volunteer of the Year, has been a steadfast member of Chineham Cubs for many years. Despite witnessing various leadership changes, Graham continues to deliver exceptional Scouting experiences to his cub pack, also extending support to the Wednesday pack.

Scout Volunteer of the Year

Nominees: Annmarie Smith-Browne, Gill Clakre, Jamie Karslake, Jo Mawhinney, Mark Austin, Richard Cox & Steve Scadden

Winner: Jo Mawhinney

Jo Mawhinney, recognized as Scouts Volunteer of the Year, seamlessly assumed the Scout leader role and significantly contributed to the growth of the section. Under her leadership, the section has achieved its largest size to date, with a focus on providing each child the opportunity to attain their gold award, a feat that most have successfully accomplished.

Explorer Volunteer of the Year

Nominees: Richard Green & James Langham

Winner: Richard Green

Richard Green, the Explorers Volunteer of the Year, has been a constant support in various roles within the Explorers program. Currently overseeing young leaders, he has played a crucial role in guiding several young individuals to achieve their top awards this year.

Trustee of the Year

Nominees: Alastair Williams, Chris Circuit, Colin Casey, Colin Karslake, Dawn Spreadbury, Louise Wimpress, Paul Hogan-Williams, Rebekah Moffat & Yvonne Matthews

Winner: Dawn Spreadbury

Dawn Spreadbury, awarded Trustee of the Year, has been a driving force behind the 1st Basingstoke Trustee Board. Her innovative thinking, particularly evident in the search for a new home, showcases her dedication and significant support for the group. Dawn has extended her commitment by taking on the GSL role.
