Recognising our volunteers
There are lots of different awards available in Scouting and on top of those we also recognise some local awards and permit accomplishments at this amazing event.
Invites will be sent across the autumn term to anyone who has received a good service or length of service award or anyone who has gained/renewed a permit. We also invite all volunteers who have gained there wood badge and those who are shortlisted in the nominations by other volunteers for one of our local awards such as leader of the year.

About The Event
A chance for us to recognise all our volunteers who over the year have earned or been nominated for an award as well as those who have gone above and beyond to support the district. This year we are also expanding the guest list to include those who have gained or successfully renewed an activity permit.

It is so important to us that we are able to recognise the dedication and effort of our volunteers across the District. Without all of you we couldn’t provide the skills for life each week to 1,000 young people in Basingstoke East. So thank you to each and everyone of you!
We love attending the annual awards celebration as it gives us the opportunity to celebrate everyone that has been given or nominated for an award, gained a permit or just gone that extra mile for us. Some of the awards are looked after by our awards advisory team and others as they are automatically earned however we need you to nominate your fellow volunteers to help us recognise them too. If you think someone has gone that extra mile for your group, for the district or even outside of Scouting and that we should recognise them…then please, nominate them for an award. All nominees will be invited to the event to find out if they have won in their category.
