Shrek the Musical

We’ve been approached by Basingstoke Amateur Theatrical Society who are putting on a series of ‘Shrek the Musical’ and they’d like to offer those in Scouting, and their families, a discounted price for one of their showings.

The full details are below and you can either send this out to your parents for them to book directly with Anvil Arts, or if you’d rather attend as a Group/Section, you could ask them to book via you and make a group booking.

Booking Process

We have created a discount code specifically for Basingstoke East Scouting District ‘DONKEYEAST22’ which secures the discounted rate of £21.00 per ticket.

When it comes to booking there are two options open to you:

1. You can order on behalf of your pack’s cubs/scouts and their families as a block booking. This means that everyone within your group will be sat together but the payment will need to be made by one person so there may be a small amount of admin required by someone within the Group/Section.
2. You can email the booking details (phone number, email and discount code), directly out to your young people and their families and each family can then book their own tickets. It means that payments will be simpler (as each family will pay separately), but there is no guarantee that all families from your Group/Section will be sat together.

Tickets can be booked by ringing the box office on 01256 844244 or by emailing them on box.office@anvilarts.org.uk. Remember to quote the discount code ‘DONKEYEAST22’ to ensure you get your tickets at the reduced rate of £21.00 per ticket (which includes the £3.00 booking fee that is a specific requirement of Anvil Arts).

The deadline for booking tickets at the discounted rate will be 15^th October, as after that point we will need to put any remaining tickets open for general sale.

Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek. This Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure is based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film. The stage production brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears!
