Introducing our ADC Cub Scouts

29 November 2021

We are excited to introduce Craig Harris as our newly appointed Assistant District Commissioner, Section Support for Cub Scouts (ADC Cubs).  Craig has been part of the District Cub Leader Team for sometime so will be a familiar face to many of you.

Craig will be taking over this role from the 1st January and brings much knowledge to this role and we would like to wish him the best of luck. Please see a short introduction from Craig below

Hi all,

For those who don’t know me, my name is Craig and I’m excited to be joining the team as ADC Cubs. I’ve been involved in Scouting as a youngster (Beaver and Cub) but re-joined as an adult in 2016 where I joined Old Basing as a Cub Leader. I’ve also been involved in first aid training, become a training advisor and have also been Group Scout Leader for Old Basing for the past 18 months. During this time I’ve also joined the District Cub Leader team so I will have met many of you on previous events, and I’m excited to be part of the team to bring these events back and I look forward to meeting lots more of you.

Before COVID, we had an exciting calendar of District events for our Cubs to enjoy including various days out and an annual District Cub Camp. Whilst the lockdowns have put a stop to those, we’re now very keen to get back to these District Events. In Basingstoke East, we’re very lucky to have such a great team across the Cub Sections and I’m keen to work with each Section to ensure we’re sharing all of our knowledge and also that each Section has the support needed from the District Team to ensure they continue to do great things.

If you have any questions or if there is anything I can help with, please do drop me a line at craig.harris@bescouts.org.uk

I look forward to meeting you all very soon, and will be in touch with each Section to arrange a chance to come along and meet you all.

Craig
