3D Printing Workshop

Article published on 11 October 2025

Ever fancied bringing your ideas to life with 3D printing? We’re running a 3D Printing Workshop for volunteers who’d like to learn how to design, model, and print their own creations  – and perhaps run a similar session for their own (or other) sections in the future.

As you may know, we purchased a 3D printer last year to make custom woggles and other items, which went down a storm at BEASTLY — and even covered the cost of the printer (win-win!).

This hands-on session will guide you through:

  • How to create and prepare a 3D model
  • Key things to consider when designing for print
  • How to set up and run the 3D printer

🗓 Date: Wednesday 10th December
🕖 Time: 19:00
📍 Location: District Hub

If you’re unable to attend this date but are interested in learning more, please complete the form below and let us know — we’ll look to arrange another session soon.

We hope this workshop will give volunteers the confidence and skills to support 3D design and printing sessions for young people across the district in early 2026!
